I hope you guys are slowly noticing the weather getting warmer and sunnier. I thought this was the perfect time to introduce the new limited-edition summer collection by Yves Rocher named “Tropical Summer”.
The collecting consists of several different items, where I have about half of them to show you. The other items in the collection are; a tropical hairmist, a manicure set and two different showergels – one that’s passionfruit scented and the other that’s ginger scented.
The moisturizing has similar packaging to the body scrub. It also has a flip cap, but it’s a see-through yellow tube. It’s a thick gel that has a yellow tint that goes on clear. I like the idea of a gel as it has a lighter consistency compared to body lotions.
I also find this have a cooling effect which makes it even more suitable for summer weather. It contains organic aloe vera gel, ginger essential oil and passion fruit extract. The scent of passionfruit is noticeable, but I don’t really smell the ginger. When I first apply it, it does have slight sticky/tacky finish to it but giving the product approximately 60 seconds to sink it makes the stickiness go away.
Ingredients: aqua/water/eau,alcohol,glycerin,betaine,oleth-20,aloe barbadensis leaf juice,oleth-10,acrylates/c10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer,parfum/fragrance,sodium benzoate,xanthan gum,sodium hydroxide,salicylic acid,limonene,tetrasodium edta,passiflora edulis fruit extract,eugenol,methylpropanediol,citronellol,benzyl alcohol,citral,ci 17200 (red 33),ci 19140 (yellow 5)
A bodyscrub is such an essential in the summertime as it will keep your skin looking soft and smooth. The scrub comes in a squeezable, plastic tube with some cute detailing on it. It’s has a flip-open cap, which makes dispensing it an ease. It contains ginger essential oil and passion fruit extract.
The scent is fruity and tropical while the ginger scent is more subtle. The product is packed with lots of grains, which is always a priority when I buy a scrub. The grains are effective to use on the body and leaves my skin very smooth.
Ingredients: aqua/water/eau,glycerin,prunus armeniaca (apricot) seed powder,methylpropanediol,alcohol,laureth-10,aloe barbadensis leaf juice,phenoxyethanol,acrylates/c10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, prunus amygdalus dulcis (sweet almond) shell powder,parfum/fragrance,sodium hydroxide, limonene, tetrasodium edta, passiflora edulis fruit extract
The perfume comes in the most adorable, yellow cardboard box with cute flowers, passionfruit and palms prints on it. Once I opened the box I lost some of my excitement. I wanted the bottle to have the same print and details as the box did, instead I thought the bottle was looking kind of plain.
It has a red cap, has a regular pump/spray function and contains 100 ml. When I sprayed it I noticed a strong, alcohol scent. I do find that all Eau de Toilette perfumes has that alcohol scent linger to it. But I was glad that some the strong alcohol scent disappeared. I have quite a hard time describing the scent, but I would say it’s a warm, tropical fruit scent.
Ingredients: alcohol,aqua/water/eau,parfum/fragrance,limonene,butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane,glycerin,linalool,citronellol,benzyl alcohol,citral,eugenol,geraniol,passiflora edulis fruit extract,ci 17200 (red 33),ci 19140 (yellow 5)
First things first, the scent of this powder is bloody amazing. It’s so good! Without a doubt the best smelling powder I own. It contains gardenia flower extract, which is the scent that hits you at first, but in a good way. The scent reminds me of orange blossoms and almost like Arabic cookies, if any of you are familiar with those. When I was taking photos of it, I literally just sat there and kept on smelling it.
It’s a duo powder where there are two different shades in one pan, this will allow you to mix the two shades together. It comes in a plastic compact with a yellow rim and the logo on the outside. Theirs is also a plastic seal to ensure no one has opened it. Can we also talk about how gorgeous the imprint on the powder is? It’s so stunning and I love such details on makeup products.
There are two different shades available, whereas this one is suited towards lighter skintones. I can barely pull this shade off, but I think the darker powder is better suited for my NC30 skin. The powder is very smooth and is buildable.

I have tried Yves Rocher nail polish formulas before, and the packaging and formula feels and look very similar. There are 3 different colours to their tropical collection. Here I have “Or Ensoleillé” & “Vert Tropical”.
I’ve tried the “Or Ensoleillé” shade, which is a gold, copper and almost metallic like shade. The formula applied really smoothly and dried within a reasonable amount of time. I added two coats with no base or top coat.
I can’t say I’m surprised with how much I liked it. I know Yves Rocher polishes and they’re awesome, so I expected these to be just as good. Once I’ve tried the “Vert Tropical” I will update the post and insert a photo of me wearing it.
