Sephora Super Ingredients Beauty Box

The Sephora Super Ingredients Beauty products all have natural, super ingredients as their main focus. The box that I’ll be reviewing is filled with different skincare items which all have their own unique purpose. I’m not sure if this entire box is available for purchase. I have seen some French Youtubers review this box, but that’s it. But I know for sure that all the individual products are available at the Sephora in Denmark, and the majority of them are also available in foreign Sephoras.

Mustus – Daily Harvest Squeeze Powder Up Mask (Elastic/Conditioning) – 45 DKK

The packaging on this mask looks very green and friendly to the environment, which matches the theme of the Sephora box really well. Once I ripped the mask open I could immediately sense a fruity and vegetabe like scent. The sheetmask consist of extracts from tomato, potato, strawberry, cherry and pomegranate. The scent wasn’t too strong and smelled really refreshing.

The mask was covered in a light weight serum and lots of it. The material was some sort of cotton fabric I believe. It was quite thin and adhered really well to my skin. The overall fit was great except for it kept sliding down on my upper lip. I wore the mask for 20 minutes, once I removed it it was still slightly moist. My skin felt moisturized and looked glowy. Maybe a bit too glowy… My face looked oily but I didn’t feel oily at all. On the other hand, my skin did feel slightly sticky. I did wait 15 minutes and by then the serum had absorbed into my skin and didn’t fell sticky any longer.

Papa Recipe – Bombee Honey Butter Mask – 40 DKK

I don’t say this too often, but this product had me kinda shook. I honestly think this is my favorite sheetmask I’ve tried so far. It was so amazing and the only flaw I can think of was the fit of the mask. It wasn’t bad, but I would like to be a bit wider to cover the outer parts of my face. The mask is separated into two parts – one for the top of your face and one for the bottom part. It’s also sandwiched between two protective layers. The scent was heavenly – it smelled like light, creamy honey.

The unusual part about this sheetmask is that it’s not soaked in a serum, but covered in a creamy, thick butter/cream. There are actually three different types of butters in this mask (Shea Butter, Mango Seed Butter & Cacao Seed Butter). There is also Honey, Propolis and Royal Jelly Extract. There was an appropriate amount of product in the mask, but since it was so good I wish there was more. My skin felt like a baby’s bottom, so soft, nourished, smooth and moisturized. It literally felt like I had applied butter on my face and my skin looked so glowy and moisturized the next day.

Boscia – Luminizing Black Mask – 255 DKK

I’ll be the first to say I’m not the biggest fan of peel off mask. The reason behind is that I don’t feel like they do much. But after seeing how highly rated the Boscia mask was, I wanted to have a positive mind to begin with. It comes in a black, squeezy tube and contains 80 g. I’m not the biggest fan of the scent. The scent reminds me of vinegar and alcohol mixed together.

It’s a pitch black, gloopy mask and I applied it on my clean, dry skin avoiding sensitive areas as well as the brows. I was surprised with how quickly it dried down considering how thick I applied it. It already felt dry after 12-15 minutes. It was very easy and almost pain free to remove the mask. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I like my peel off masks to be a bit painful as imagine it’ll be more effective that way. I know that doesn’t necessarily have to be true, but yeah I kinda wish it was a bit more aggressive. I’m probably one of the few people who would wish that. I don’t really struggle with blackheads, but I did notice it pulling out some of my whiteheads on my nose and chin. My skin felt smooth and less oily. This is one of the better peel off masks I’ve tried, but I’m still not completely convinced that it’s a HG mask for me. If you’re someone who enjoys peel off masks I can imagine you liking this one.

Erborian – Bamboo Glow Dewy Effect Cream – 185 DKK

This one is a 2-1 product that combines moisture and glow in one. It’s has a light gel consistency that is perfect for my oily skin, while still providing me with a slight glow.

32837468_1911639695512889_8680693710595293184_n

It’s not as glowy as a strobe cream, but it stills add some natural looking freshness and dewyness to the skin. The cream comes in a gorgeous cardboard box, and when I opened it the tube itself was even prettier. It has such a cool ombre effect with pink, peach, yellow and green colours to it.

33072720_1911639752179550_3101488209058594816_n

The tube contains 30 ml. I don’t use it at night as I feel like it’s a waste of glow, so I only use it during the day time. I like to use it after my sunscreen and sometimes I even replace my primer with this.

Youth To The People – Age Prevention Superfood Cleanser – 250 DKK

A product I’ve seen so many people share on IG. This is a gel-based cleanser that’s made with kale, spinach and green tea. The product comes in an ecofriendly cardboard box. The bottle itself is made of glass, which I quite like but it also makes me slightly nervous as I’m afraid I’ll drop it and if that happen I know it’s game over. The bottle contains 237 ml/ 8 fl. oz.  It does have a screw top cap, but they’ve included a pump inside the box to make dispensing the cleanser a lot easier.

33063048_1911639722179553_4520294809495142400_nI’ve been using this for the past three weeks, and since I got it that’s all I’ve been using. When mixed with water it does foam slightly and cleanses my skin without feeling harsh or stripping. The scent of this is really lovely, as it reminds me of a bunch of green vegetables. The fresh scent makes washing my face in the morning more of an enjoyment.

    1. I love that the majority of the products are Korean. You already know how much I love K-beauty ❤ The packaging of the Bamboo Cream was the first product I tried out 😀 I couldn't stand the gorgeous tube.

  1. I am not really a fan of beauty boxes… Maybe I am too much of a control freak, but I totally need to know what I spend my money on. (Maybe this is the broke student mentality 😛 ) But some of the products in there look really nice, like the Age Prevention Superfood Cleanser. It looks so nice and your review is good too…. Aaaah now I want this.

    1. I feel you… That’s how I feel about subscription boxes :/ It’s not that often that I love everything inside a box, but I felt quite lucky with this one. The only product I’m kinda iffy about is that peel off mask, I mean I do like it but I don’t see myself buying it again. The Superfood Cleanser is quite a popular cleanser 😀 The scent is so refreshing and works great as a second cleanse ❤
