Vitamin Infused Skincare w/ Formula 10.0.6

*Reklame/PR Gifted* I’m constantly testing out new products, and here’s what I’ve been focusing on using the past 2 months or so. Formula 10.0.6 is a brand I remember from my teens and I still remember some of their products which are still being sold today. These products are some of their newer ones, I’ve got a few products from their vitamin c line and two from their vitamin b line. Besides these they also have a vitamin a, vitamin f and their newest vitamin e line available. Here are my thoughts on some vitamin c and b products.

My skin type: Oily & acneprone

Triple Action Cleanser

Cleansing is one of my favorite steps in my routine and I like to take my time doing it. The bottle contains 100 ml. and the consistency surprised me a bit. It looks and feels like a serum with a nice slip to it. The consistency feels similar to their gel toner that I’ll get to in a bit. It has a citrussy scent which smells pleasant. As an oilskinned person I really prefer a face wash that foams up, which this one didn’t. I feel like I was massaging a serum into my skin, that turned milky when it came in contact with water. It claims it can remove makeup, in my case it didn’t. If I’m wearing a little bit of makeup, sure it does the job, but it won’t take off a full face. It rinsed off easily and my skin felt nicely cleansed and slightly moisturized. The consistency is definitely something you need to get used if you’re used to gel or foam cleansers. I think normal and dry skin types would enjoy this cleanser more.

Resurfacing Alpha Hydroxy Acid Mask

Chemically exfoliating masks have become quite popular and there’s a lot of nice ones out there. This mask contains 60 ml., and the texture is similar to the cleanser, serum like with a nice slip. I like using it once a week, leaving it on for 10 minutes. It does tingle slightly, which most acid masks do, but the tingling sensation only last for a few minutes. My skin appears glowier when I rinse it off and also feels very smooth, as if I just exfoliated my skin.

Refining Light Gel Toner

This was my first-time experience with a gel toner, but I’ve always told my myself I needed to try one. The bottle contains 80 ml, and the consistency is a clear serummy gel that I either apply with a cotton round or pat into my skin with my hands. It’s lightly moisturizing but does leave a tacky finish and required a bit of time to completely sink in. I do feel my skin felt prepped to go on with a serum after using the toner, and I do like the ingredients in the toner. There isn’t any fragrance added and I can’t detect much of a scent, except for a super light swift of a nutty fragrance, leaning towards walnuts. I liked the toner but don’t know how much of difference it made on my skin as far as a long-term effect goes.

Moisturizing Spa Eye Balm

An eye cream that is formulated like a balm, sounds like heaven to me. I don’t have any real concerns regarding my eye area, but I’ve always preferred thiccc eye creams. The pump function is very convenient for an eye cream, that is if it actually works… I do think this is a manufacturer error cause the pump will not work. Till this day I’m still trying to pump it out but it’s not working. Looking past the issue, I really like this eye cream. The tube contains 20 ml., and the consistency feels heavenly. It’s smooth, creamy and nourishing without feeling heavy and no scent either. It’s hydrating and acts like a great base for makeup.

Rejuvenating Daily Moisturizer

Sometimes all you need is a good, simplistic moisturizer which is what this is. The bottle contains 60 ml. of product and can be used as both a day and night cream. It has a cream formula that isn’t too thick or too light. It sinks into the nicely and quickly and keeps my skin moisturized through the day, but it’s a bit too heavy for me during the daytime so I’ll be using it for nighttime. My skin has been stressed and irritated some days and this has been a good basic product to add moisture without further adding to any irritation.

  • Mineral Complex (Zinc, Copper & Magnesium)

From top to bottom, we have the cleanser, mask, eyeball, gel toner and moisturizer

I can definitely see potential in these products, but I can also tell that most of these weren’t the right ones for my skin type. There were products that I knew I instantly loved, like the buttery eye balm. Then there were products like the cleanser, that I initially didn’t felt was appropriate for me, but eventually grew on me. I’m curious about their other vitamin ranges, as I’ve seen a few interesting sounding products, which I may look into.
